Improving Your PH Balance
STEPS YOU CAN IMMEDIATELY TAKE TO IMPROVE YOUR PH
A vast body of research reveals you can help the body neutralize acids in the blood and maintain a balanced pH, by taking some simple steps,
such as:
- Exercise - remember water must constantly be circulated to remain
pure. The water, or blood, in the bodies of the sick is usually stagnant. When blood stops flowing, the body starts to
decay.
- Avoiding highly acid-forming food and
drink. The bottom line is that we need to eat enough alkalizing foods to help
our bodies neutralize the acid-forming foods. Since acid forming foods are a little stronger, the rule of thumb is about 25% Acid to
75% Alkaline.
- Drinking the right water. International studies show that populations
with little or no history of illness, such as cancer, drink higher pH (alkaline) waters.
Fortunately, this process can be as easy as you make it. Implement changes immediately and take control of your health. The
first step is to understand which of the foods you are eating and the drinks you are drinking
are acid and which are alkaline. Then it’s simply a matter of eliminating some of the more acid foods you are eating and adding in more alkaline
foods.
However, before you start, it’s important to get a baseline of what the pH is in your body so that you can see how you are improving or if you
need to continue to eliminate more acid foods and add in more alkaline ones. You can test your pH with litmus paper or test strips
available in many drug stores simply by wetting the paper with your saliva or urine and matching the color of the paper to the
supplied chart.
It is good to test the second urine of the day for an overview of how balanced you were during the night. It is in the night that our bodies
have a chance to heal and take out the garbage. They get a break from processing food, so it is essential that we have an alkaline pH
during this time. When you first get the strips, it is also good to test 2 hours after eating to see what foods provoke what reactions in your
body. Try testing after being angry or upset and see what you find.
